TENT BALLASTING
Funtastic Rentals follows industry-standard calculations to determine the necessary weight to ensure the structural integrity of our tents, canopies, and other structures.
STAKING GUIDELINES
At Funtastic Rentals, we prioritize safety and stability for all tent installations. Staking is the most secure and reliable method for anchoring a tent or structure. This involves driving 36″-48″ iron stakes directly into the ground, providing unmatched stability for your event setup.
Suitable Surfaces for Staking:
Grass: Secure and effective.
Dirt: Provides solid anchorage.
Asphalt: We can patch the surface after the tent is removed.
Unsuitable Surfaces for Staking:
Deep Gravel: Lacks proper stability.
Broken Asphalt: Compromises anchor integrity.
Soft Dirt, Sand, or Mud: Insufficient holding strength.
Staking Installation Details:
Stakes are typically placed around the perimeter of the tent.
Guy-lines may be added for extra security, depending on weather conditions.
Our team ensures a clean and secure installation, with repairs made to the asphalt as needed.

TENT ANCHORING OPTIONS AND GUIDELINES
Ensuring the safety and stability of your tented event is our top priority. Our tent anchoring methods include weighted blocks, stakes, and anchors, each suited to different site conditions.
WEIGHTED BLOCKS
Usage: Ideal for sites where staking is not an option (e.g., concrete, sensitive surfaces).
Factors Affecting Weight Requirements: Site conditions, weather, accessibility, and additional accessories attached to the tent.
Rental & Handling Charges: We charge for the rental, delivery, pick-up, and handling of blocks due to the need for specialized equipment.
Block Covers are available in MEDIUM, LARGE, XLARGE, and SUPA sizes. Limited quantities are available for MEGA and ULTRA sizes.
Pricing: It is set per weight, with delivery fees determined by site location. Please consult with your sales representative for specific pricing.

ANCHORS
Application: Used when securing tents on concrete surfaces.
Installation: Drilled into concrete using a bolting system.

Reusability: Anchors can be reused for future rentals if the tent position remains unchanged.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The staking and anchoring process involves high-decibel drills, stake drivers, heavy machinery, and other specialized tools. We prioritize safety, but being aware of the noise and equipment involved is essential.
